The MHS operates over 70 hospitals and 400 clinics around the world; conducts global aeromedical evacuation; shipboard and undersea medicine; and delivers humanitarian and other medical crisis response capabilities.
The MHS conducts ground-breaking medical research through many DoD research organizations focused on activities from breakthrough technologies that save lives on the battlefield, to advanced research in cancer treatment; traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder and the full range of clinical conditions.
They supplement their services to over 9 million beneficiaries through a global network of health care providers, and offer the most comprehensive health benefit in the country.
